Miliardo Peacecraft. Zechs Merquise. Same guy. One's cuter than the other, though. Heh. Once again, I regret to inform you that I have no pictures of this beautiful man. ~_~; If you have any, send send send please. I don't really care who else is in it, as long as Miliardo/Zechs is the main subject. ^_~
Miliardo Peacecraft, Heir to the Peacecraft Monarchy. His father was a powerful leader who believed in total pacifism: i.e., no fighting, no wars, no defense. No military, period. However, this belief soon proved to have a fatal flaw, and the Peacecraft family was wiped out, except for Miliardo and his baby sister, Relina, who was sent to live with Vice Foreign Minister Dorlin and his wife. Relina never knew any other parents. However, thank goodness this is not a shrine to Relina. *shudder* Miliardo, a youth of (one would assume) approximately 16 or 18, was sent to the Lake Victoria Military Base, where he graduated first in his class. Ashamed that he had believed in total pacifism and seeing now the flaws of such beliefs in the war-torn era he'd grown up in, Miliardo donned a mask which left only the lower part of his face showing and changed his name from Miliardo Peacecraft to Zechs Merquise. His longtime friend from school, Treize Kushrenada, had started an elite brigade of soldiers known as the "Specials". Treize knew Miliardo's secret, and their friendship, Treize knew, would be terminated when Zech's mask was shattered. As luck would have it, in a battle between the two men, Miliardo's mask broke, and he flew away to outer space in an injured craft. Miliardo, now aware of Treize's motives, sets out to reclaim the former peace that had ended at his father's assassination so many years ago. However, he does this in a way unlike Relina -- who has followed in her father's footsteps and refuses to fight at all, even in self-defense -- but in a war for peace. This makes no sense, if you actually think about it. ^_~ So anyways, at the end of the show, when Miliardo (who's really the bad guy in the series) is about to run his giant space battleship into the Earth, has a change of heart and sees how Relina's ideals are better than his, he sacrifices himself to save the Earth and his little sister. *kawaii eyes* Isn't that WONDERFUL???? *sob*
So anyways. Now that I've probably bored you to tears with Miliardo's life story... *audience: zzzzzzzzz*
This shrine is currently almost nonexistent, so if you have any Milliardo (does his name have one or two 'L's?) pictures or fics, send them on my way! Arigatou!
No doubt you believed this shonen was the source of the evil. Indeed, as you approached his shrine, the stench grew -- but it was emanating from further down the path. What lays ahead? The moderate breeze blows a scrap of parchment to your feet. You pick it up and read what can be read: "...If you strike me down..." A curious message, indeed. Pocketing the parchment, you continue down the path.
The next shrine is just over this rise....
The letter you have found strikes you as a bad omen. Stricken down? As in, death? What could possibly be worse? Frightened by the supernatural forces toying with your mind, you hurry back along the way you came, back to the path down the mountainside you passed a few minutes ago. But wait -- the path is no longer there. With a wary gaze, you return to the Miliardo Shrine, the stench of evil and a sense of forboding growing with every step. You have no choice.
Onward, I suppose....
