This is (no da) the Basement's Shrine to --
Suddenly, from the underbrush, a sound, as of something struggling to escape.
You are, rightly, frightened.  Could whatever is making the rustling sound be the source of the evil stench?
Apparently so.  The bushes part, revealing --
Sephiroth.
Not the Sephiroth from the game, however.  No, this is a Sephiroth wearing jeans and a t-shirt, and a red and white baseball hat.  He is wearing a pair of Reeboks.  Go figure.  He is smiling broadly at you.
What is going on? you ask yourself.  His only response is a smile.
You give him a curious glance.  He raises an eyebrow at you -- no, at something behind you.
You look at the little scrap of paper you picked up.  Its message matches that on the temple's wall.  Curious.
You hand the parchment to Sephiroth, nearly giggling with delight when his hand brushes yours.  He gives the parchment a worried gaze, then proceeds onward, down the path.  The evil stench goes with him.
Perhaps bad things never rub off.  Shrugging, you admire his shrine for a moment before descending the path.
